Covid Boosters Update - 21st December 2021

All GP practices have been directed to allocate staff to the Covid booster programme with immediate effect.  We are doing all we can to endeavour to maintain our usual service but you may notice some delay in obtaining routine appointments.  If at all possible, please refer to your pharmacy for advice on minor ailments and contact 111 out of hours.

We are pleased to announce Mid Dorset Primary Care Network has reopened the Atrium Health Centre as a COVID vaccination site.  Appointments are now on the National booking system which can be accessed via  (National Booking System)  or by calling 119.

Please DO NOT phone us to book, we cannot access the booking system.  If you cannot get an appointment, please keep checking the National Booking System as Mid Dorset Primary Care Network will be running further clinics in the coming weeks.

Boosters will only be administered to eligible people, meaning you must have had your second dose at least 3 months ago.  Only Pfizer/BioNTech vaccinations will be administered.  There is NOT an option to walk-in without a booking, so please do not attempt to do this as you will be turned away.

Medical settings are a high risk environment and will need to be subject to more control measures than other public facilities.

We are acting very cautiously and are maintaining:

  • Social distancing
  • Face coverings
  • PPE for healthcare staff

It is our duty to do all we can to keep both our patients and our staff safe whilst we deliver our care.  Please continue to wear face coverings when attending the surgery.  This is particularly important if you are suffering from a respiratory condition.

Thank you for your understanding.
